"Disregarding my natural urge and desire to study visual arts, I became a nurse instead. After years of searching for a creative way to use my hands, an attraction to clay as a material began to grow within me, which eventually drew me in the direction of a pottery workshop in May 2020. It was love at first touch.
In January 2022, I took a leap and moved into my own studio in Nittedal, Norway, to fully commit myself to making ceramics. I make small batches of consumables mainly on the turntable, striving for a comfortable and tactile feel with each piece, aiming for a timeless aesthetic." - Julie Liebenberg
